Ms. Renee Maite Vega Ms. Vega was born in Cuba and raised in Puerto Rico. She is a graduate of Barry University with an honors degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. She worked as a substitute for Dade County Public Schools and taught at Little Village Academy before joining Mother of Christ in 2001. Ms. Vega believes that teaching in a catholic school is a very rewarding experience, since you have the opportunity to teach children about God. As she puts it "Having faith in God makes a big difference in a person's life". Renee enjoys watching basketball and baseball, reading, listening to music and pencil drawing. Her favorite food is pizza and loves to eat chocolates. Ms. Vega has a very exciting year planned for her students, full of many new activities and challenging learning experiences. Ms. Vega was our teacher of the year 2004 - 2005.
